Everything ties in nicely

When a customer approaches us and enquires about getting a bespoke suit made for them, one major factor that is often missed is the tie. Why? We have no idea. The tie, although a small accessory, is a crucial ingredient to the overall recipe that is a complete bespoke suit. What exactly is a tie? A long piece of fabric that can be tied around the neck in a variety of fashions for decorative purposes, but let’s also remember that they’re part of a uniform, a sign of membership to a sports club or association. Much more than a meaningless piece of fabric.

Tailor’s Tips: That timeless quality feel…

When it comes to getting a bespoke garment made for you, the impression is always that it is for formal events only. For example if a client wants a dinner jacket made, the understanding is that this jacket is only meant to be worn at a formal dinner with a smart dress code. We cannot speak for other tailors, but this could not be further from the truth, when it comes to the attire we design anyway. Of course there are some items of clothing that you will only want to wear at these types of events, but when you look at the general cost of bespoke clothing, why limit the usage to a few nights out a year?

Made to measure for the 007 lifestyle

You’ll struggle to find a man in the UK, or the world, for that matter who doesn’t appreciate a good Bond film. What’s not to like? It has everything that men are supposed to like and relate to; fancy cars, beautiful women, gadgets, action, explosions and most importantly (to us anyway) fine suits. Throughout the films since Bond was portrayed by Sean Connery in 1962 all the way up to Daniel Craig now in 2015, the most important factor, in our opinion, has always been consistent, and that is his suits. We’ve taken it upon ourselves to outline what it would be like to create a bespoke suit for the MI5 agent, and although it would be a fun project, we would have our work cut out for us. So first of all, let’s look at the most important factor in an active agents threads, the fabric. Due to the nature of Bond’s job, the fabrics we are accustomed to working with simply wouldn’t cut it here.
