Andrew Brookes is a proud partner of Rachel Scott Couture, Edinburgh’s very own bridal specialist. After studying textile science and gaining invaluable experience in the fashion industry as a buyer, Rachel opened her own boutique in 2004 with the goal of delivering the very best labels and first-class customer service to Edinburgh – a feat no other boutique in the city had achieved yet.
Since opening her doors over 20 years ago Rachel has won countless awards, built a whole team of fashion industry professionals, opened a second store dedicated to occasion wear and styled thousands of clients from all over the world.

Rachel has selected each designer in the boutique for their unique aesthetic and unparalleled quality, using leading industry practices to deliver a product you’ll love for a lifetime. She’ll also make sure that you’re a part of the design process, collaborating with our team of experts and world-renowned designers to create your dream outfit. Each piece is made entirely from scratch for you, meaning it is uniquely bespoke and unlike any other.
Rachel Scott Couture boasts exclusive partnerships with iconic design houses including Vivienne Westwood and Danielle Frankel, making it the only boutique in Scotland to offer their styles. Rachel also holds close relationships with other leading labels such as Suzanne Neville, Halfpenny London, Sassi Holford, Temperley London and Andrea Hawkes.
But the magic doesn’t stop once you’ve found your dress – Rachel Scott Couture also offers a bespoke veil design service, Mother of the Bride outfits, and even handmade jewellery and hair accessories crafted by Rachel herself.
RACHEL SCOTT TAILORING PROCESS
Every dress from Rachel Scott Couture is entirely made from scratch when you place your order. The benefit of this is that the team can really make sure your dress is made exactly how you want it. Whether you want to add or take away sleeves, change colours, necklines, fabric, skirt shape – it’s all doable at Rachel’s boutique.
To ensure the best possible fit, Rachel will then work out measurements and sometimes have a toile made by your chosen designer – the perfect opportunity to physically see any bespoke design changes you’ve made on a practise version of your dress.
Once your dress arrives, any final tweaks needed will be completed by Rachel’s own in-house seamstress, giving you the full end-to-end couture experience.

One of the best things about highland dress is its versatility. Capturing several looks in one, all the jackets, waistcoats, trousers and kilts we provide are suitable for all different occasions – making our service all the more beneficial. Whether you really want to embrace the full Scottish spirit or tone down the tartan and go for a more minimalist approach, we can take your lead or let our team of experts advise on what they think is best – whatever works for you.

You’ll be able to explore the full boutique at your leisure from an hour to an hour and a quarter, giving you more than enough time to fully browse the showroom, try on different styles, and even revisit a few favourite dresses at the end.
It’s the practise version of your dress, usually made in a structured cotton fabric, and helps your chosen designer perfect details and the overall fit before they make the real thing.
Yes, absolutely! Rachel has helped dress hundreds of clients from all over the world without ever having met them in person.
Rachel’s team can work within any timeframe, they’ll just need to know your wedding date and they’ll work backwards from there.
The bridal boutique is on 29b Dundas St, Edinburgh, and the occasion wear boutique along on 19 Queensferry Street, Edinburgh.
