A BESPOKE TARTAN LEGACY FOR SCOTT MEENAGH
Paralympian Scott Meenagh put down his skis and gave us the honour of creating a bespoke tartan that was going to encapsulate the past, present and future of the Meenagh name. We were delighted to be part of Scott’s incredible journey, and even more grateful to know our bespoke tartan will be a part of future day’s to come.
Tailoring for Scott Meenagh
For Scott, wearing formal wear was often a challenging experience rather than a moment to enjoy, and the prospect of finding the perfect suit for his wedding day was starting to make him anxious. When introduced to Andrew Brookes tailoring, Scott and Andrew hit it off straight away and the relationship between them proved to be one that would leave a lasting impression on the both of them, and create a bespoke tartan three piece suit Scott can cherish forever.
Here is what Scott has to say about working with us:
“I learnt so much about myself […] I wanted to wear an outfit that was not only really smart and really slick, but also really comfortable. We designed a tartan from scratch. I had no family tartan that was close to my heart, and Andrew just threw it out there; ”let’s make one,” and that was really, really cool.”
“It’s changed the way I look at all tartans. I look at tartan now and wonder, “who’s journey is that tartan?” [….] and that for me is incredible and such a great way to express your heritage.”

Jamie Ritchie
Andrew Brookes has a long history of creating bespoke, tailor-made wedding suits that reflect the groom’s Scottish heritage. A born and bred Dundonian, rugby player Jamie Ritchie joined other sportsmen such as Greig Laidlaw, Dunghan van der Merwe, Jamie Murray and Scott Meenagh in commissioning a bespoke wedding suit from Andrew Brookes for his big day.
