How do I order a handmade garment?
Please make an appointment to come and see us in our studio, either by emailing andrew@andrew-brookes.com or by calling us on +44(0)7515 285604.
We currently only accept orders after you’ve visited our studio for an appointment.
Q.
How long does it take to make a garment?
Depending on what you order, your garment will normally be ready for your fitting in 8-10 weeks from your order date. However, this can vary, depending on the cloth you choose and any additional features, such a custom linings or personal tartans.

Where are the items made?
Our garments and accessories are made by the finest suppliers in Scotland, England, Europe and the Far East.
Q.
Do you offer customised accessories?
Yes, we can personalise kiltpins, sgian dubhs, sporrans and other accessories to suit your requirements. Please contact us for more details.

How long do fittings typically take?
A fitting appointment normally takes 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of garments you are trying on and any alterations required.
Q.
How long does a garment take to make from fitting to finish?
After your fitting appointment, your garments may be ready to collect straightaway. Or if any alterations are required, they will be ready to collect within a few days.

What price does your bespoke service start from?
Our two-piece suits are available from £800; jackets from £600; trousers from £300; waistcoats from £240; kilts from £800 and handmade shirts from £150.

Where do you source your fabrics?
We source our fabrics from the finest suppliers in Scotland, England and Italy.
Q.
When will I be charged for my order?
For all orders of £1,500.00 or under, full payment is due on receipt of order. For orders of over £1,500.00, we will require a minimum 50% deposit on receipt of order, with the balance due 7 days before your first fitting appointment.
Please note that we can only start making your tailoring once payment has been received, so a delay in settling your invoice will affect the delivery date of your tailoring.

How much does delivery cost?
There is no delivery charge for items collected in person. For delivery to an address of your choice, we will advise you on any additional delivery charges at the time of ordering.

Do you deliver overseas?
Yes, we can deliver to most overseas addresses. Please contact us for more information on this.

I received an item as a gift, can I return it?
As each garment is made to order to fit you personally, please contact us directly at mel@andrew-brookes.com for any issues after delivery/collection of your garments. We take any issues seriously and will respond quickly to resolve these.

Can I return a made to order item if it’s not to my liking?

Do you cater for women?
We currently only offer handmade men’s tailoring and accessories. But we’re pleased to work with our partner, Zoe Rodrigues, for women’s styling www.zoerodrigues.com

What happens if my order is delayed and has not arrived in time?
We will update you as your order progresses through the manufacturing process and make you aware of any issues or anticipated delays. Please make sure you let us know if there is a specific date you need your tailoring for, so we can build this in to the order process for you.
Q.
Do prices for items outside the UK and EU include local sales tax and duty?
All orders for delivery to the European Union are subject to UK VAT (sales tax) but are not subject to local import duties.
For orders for delivery outside the EU, you will not be charged UK VAT (sales tax) but you will be liable for any local import duties.
