Andrew Brookes Tailoring and rugby champion Jamie Ritchie celebrate their love for Scottish heritage and details in our latest collaboration.

It was game, set and match for Andrew Brookes as he flew down to London to meet up with six-time Grand Slam champion and Davis Cup winner, the inimitable Scottish tennis player Jamie Murray.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with our lovely client Ross King again, this time on the show-stopping outfit he wore to collect his MBE from Her Majesty the Queen last month.

Our last time meeting with our friend, musician Jarrod Dickenson, we were in early stages of designing what is now a fantastic three-piece suit.

Well where to begin? When we were approached by a TV personality, we knew that it was going to be an exciting project, but little did we know how exciting it was going to be, and not in the way we had originally anticipated. For those who don’t know, Ross King is a British television presenter, actor and writer, best known for being LA Correspondent for ITV Breakfast programmes Lorraine and Good Morning Britain.

These days there’s a lot of talk around moving with the times and how we are now in the digital era, with the rise in popularity of social media and the advances in technology, but who knew that this would be applicable to tailoring?

Professional fighters, whether it be boxing or mixed martial arts (MMA), have long been looked at as ‘thuggish’ type people due to the aggressive nature of their sport.

But there’s been a lot of talk recently around this ‘new era’ of combat sports where the competitors are now getting rid of the negative labels and stereotypes that were once attached to the profession, and are now being referred to as athletes.

Recently, we had the pleasure of working with professional rugby player, Fraser McKenzie. Fraser is 27 and plays for top tier team, Edinburgh Rugby. He was introduced to our work when a friend of his had a bespoke outfit made for his wedding.
